Genre: Horror / Thriller / Dark Fantasy

Typology: Novel

Total Score: 92

Much like an outbreak or epidemic, in this novel the random phenomena of possession has beset the world. The entities or demons are born from the collective unconscious and archetypal behaviors of society. So we have the Painter, who leads people to create works of art; The Little Angel, who kills the sick by kissing them; the Captain, who possesses soldiers to incite heroic and lethal actions; the Truth, who kills those who lie; and many others. But there’s more in this amazing book. The main character, Del (possessed as a child), doesn’t know if there is still something inside him or someone in the depths of his consciousness, and he decides to look for answers. An exciting, dark book, simultaneously nostalgic and fun with an innovative take on the classic theme of possession. This work combines a very effective dark fantasy/SciFi atmosphere and three-dimensional characters with a hefty dose of sarcasm.
